PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A massive black cloth, cell phone tower, piles of prefabricated roof trusses, and a functional 0-fee ATM converge in a roofless, early 20th century ice factory in Phoenix, Arizona. All elements have the markings of fictitious companies that are divisions of Halliburton. Along with every withdrawal, the ATM issues a receipt that is formatted to be a numbered multiple from an edition limited by the last user. Over the course of a 7-day period, the machine logged 19 inquiries, 20 denied transactions, 168 withdrawals, and dispensed $10,440. The edition was limited to 207.
